The health professions attract students with a variety of interests. Our pre-professional tracks can be paired with any major (though most commonly with biology, chemistry, exercise science, health science, or psychology). You'll work one-on-one with professors on research projects and experiments, travel to regional and national conferences, and have the opportunity to dissect a cadaver—a rare opportunity for an undergraduate student.

A healthcare career is not an easy path, so we make sure you stay on track and understand what's ahead of you. All first-year students interested in a pre-professional track will be advised in our Owen Center for Academic and Career Support, and then during your sophomore year you'll work with our Pre-Health Professions Advisor. Through this team approach, we'll help you design a program of study that will prepare you for the rigors of the graduate school of your interest. You'll receive support and guidance for scheduling your classes, searching for graduate programs, and preparing for entrance examinations like the MCAT and GRE.
It's our mission to help you get accepted into the school of your choice, and to excel once you are there. All your professors will know you're career interests and will be able to write you heartfelt letters of recommendations because they will truly know you and your accomplishments.
